I have 3 children who all take dance, my oldest Jazmyn is 16 and has been taking dance since she was 3, my middle child Rilyn is 14 and has been taking dance since she was 3 and my youngest Justin is 12 and he has been taking dance since he was 6. When the previous studio owner decided to sell to someone else and we were going to have to start all over we were a little worried because well we had been there a long time but deciding to stay and join Expressions Dance Center was a blessing. With Covid shutting everything down last year I feel like my kids were losing their love for dance because they weren't in the studio every week but after they got to go in person again this year even at a new studio they have found their love again. Jennie and the other staff have a very positive attitude and a love for dance that just explodes into everyone, they have been so helpful to my children and it has made them come alive again with dance. They are trying new dance classes they never took before and my oldest is even helping teach, she now wants to join the dance team when she goes to college in a few years and continue to teach at the dance studio. The dance studio is a major blessing to our town, it gives kids a positive atmosphere to learn and have fun in. I love that it has kids of all ages and its truly a family atmosphere, the younger kids look up to the older dancers and the older dancers are so helpful to the younger dancers, we sure love our dance family and can't wait to continue dancing through the years.

We have three girls enrolled in multiple classes at the dance studio. We have been with the studio going on year 7, and it has been amazing to watch the studio grow and become more successful in just the one year Jennie has taken over! Jennie has went above and beyond for the dance studio, and truly loves dance as well as teaching. She is very determined and pours her heart into the studio! So glad Fostoria has a place for the youth to go to and leave feeling confident! She is very good at communicating with the parents and making sure everyone is on the same page! We are so happy Jennie has decided to bring her talent to Fostoria!

Our daughter, Syble, has been dancing since age 2. She began formal classes at Expressions Dance Center, formerly known as D&M Dance Expressions, in 2017. We chose to continue classes with the studio this year, knowing that there would be a change in management of the studio. The change that Jennie Zibbel brought to the dance studio has been positively monumental, and we are so glad to call this studio home! Communication from the studio is timely and precise, and Jennie ensures all students and families are well-informed of the expectations, policies, and offerings of the studio. Expressions Dance Center enrollment, payment, and communication occurs in an online portal that Jennie takes great care to ensure accounts are updated to reflect proper payments and that routine practice videos are uploaded so that students can practice with ease from home. This year was particularly challenging, given the adversity Covid-19 placed on our community. Expressions Dance Center went above and beyond to accommodate students and families, adhering to strict masking, sanitizing, temperature, and distancing protocols, offering Zoom classes, as needed on an individual basis, and hosting two recitals in an effort to distance members of the audience and reduce the number of people in the crowd. The quality of dance instruction that students receive at all levels is exceptional. Jennie is professionally trained in a variety of dance styles and she and her team of instructors share her love of dance with all students in a way that encourages growth and a love for the art of dance. It is without reservation that we recommend Expressions Dance Center to families looking for local, quality dance instruction. It has been a joy to see our daughter grow under the care of this dance studio.

My daughter, Emily, started dancing at age eleven at Expressions Dance Center, then D&M Dance Expressions under Mary Tyler. These past three years have been the most incredible time of my daughter's young life. We only wish we had known about the studio being here in town sooner since I'd wanted to put her in dance since she was 3 years old but time, cost & convenience never lined up just right to set her up with classes out of town. In my opinion, this studio is one of Fostoria's hidden treasured highlights! Anything we can do, as a community, for this studio will be more than wonderful & worthwhile for these young dancers in our community!!

I have seen such a change in my daughter Abbi since starting dance. She was nervous to try it and did ballet/ tap and ended up loving it. Since day one Jennie was so nice. It was easy to sign up and if you had a question it was easy to email her and get a response back in a timely manner. Abbi cannot wait to try out cheer this summer. I am so glad I found Expression Dance to get my daughter moving and meeting more people. I highly recommend them.

Expressions Dance Center has been a great program for my 7 year old daughter. This year I have seen her grow so much with her Tap and ballet skills. Not only has she become more confident in her dancing, she is trying new things. This summer she will be trying out cheer for the first time and will not stop talking about it. Dance has helped my daughter be more confident in herself as a person. She often struggles with trying new things and making mistakes. Dance is helping her learn it is ok to make mistakes. We just need to keep trying!

“My daughter started her first year of dance during the 2019-2020 season, but the season was cut short due to covid. She was incredibly sad that she was unable to continue the season or even have a recital. The 2020-2021 season with Jennie has been such a blessing for my daughter. Jennie did everything she could to ensure that these kids had a great season and a great recital. My daughter had so much fun and was so excited to be able to dance on stage for her first recital. In her own 5 year old words she: “felt like a ballerina fairy princess”. I can’t thank Jennie enough for all of the hard work she put into making the 2020-2021 season possible. I look forward to many years of dance to come for my two daughters at Expressions Dance Center.”
